Stars Without Photoshop
Celebrities are Photoshopped beyond recognition for ads and magazine covers and we hate it. Besides establishing completely unreasonable standards of beauty, these retouched photos make women look like Barbie dolls. We searched high and low for freckles, smile lines, and knee caps (seriously, editors airbrush out everything!) and compiled refreshing images of stars without Photoshop. These ladies are gorgeous without computer-generated features. Here’s to going natural! By Joanna Douglas, Shine Staff.Photo by: Campari
Jessica Alba In a 2008 Campari campaign one wave of the magic airbrushing wand dramatically slimmed down Alba’s waist, hips, and thighs, and plumped up her boobs. We think the actress looks much sexier in the original, unretouched image.I was on yahoo and of course they have their newfeed, the title caught my eye and so I decided to take a look.
I have always been well-aware that what media presents to as is extremely inaccurate and unnatural but never once did I think how many drastic changes are made. Everything from the size of your breasts to your facial expression is changed and while I know that teenage girls suffer just looking at these photos, one can’t help but think how the models themselves must feel.
Models on average weigh less then 98% of the female population then they are further nipped and tucked with photoshop.
Now I think that’s hardly fair to anyone.I chose this picture from the whole article because it was one that hit me most. Not because I look anything like her but because she is a perfectly fit size and she is just shrunk even more.
The Boyfriend/Best friend
Sometimes, when your girlfriend is feeling down, it is best to know that she can come to you as her best friend for help. When she is feeling sad, she wants to know that you are reliable. She wants to know that you still care. If she doesn’t talk, keep talking to her. Don’t let her forget about it but if she wants to drop it, just be there to support her. She needs to know that you put ‘friend’ first before the “boyfriend”. When she needs you at her lowest, will you be there for her or will you let her go? As the boyfriend, not only are you to be her lover, you are to be her best friend. She needs someone she can trust to talk to. This also is vice-versa for the girls to support their boyfriend.
